Beginning Sewing for Kids and Teens

Sewing with a sewing machine is really fun and a great way to make projects to wow your family and friends. In this beginning class, learn how to use a sewing machine, make bobbins, select stitches and more.
Your first project will be a Hot Dog Pillowcase! You’ll learn how to stitch straight seams, zig-zag seams and pivot your seams. The result will be a pillowcase to dream on. Your second project will be a pair of PJ bottoms. You will learn how to read and cut a commercial pattern finish seams, insert elastic and hem your pants.
With these two projects you’ll be ready to take on more advanced projects in our follow-up classes for kids and teens.
Classes: 4 @ 2 hours each
Level: Beginner, Must be 10 years old, no exceptions.
Prerequisite: None
Supplies: List sent prior to class via email from info@SeamlessSewingArts.com
Basic sewing supplies are required: scissors, thread, empty bobbin,
rotary cutter with sharp blade, pins and/or clips.
A $5 fee will be charged if student does not have basic supplies.
Suggested Follow-up Classes: Intermediate Sewing, Summer Camp, Holiday Camp
