Beginning Sewing for Kids and Teens
Sewing with a sewing machine is really fun and a great way to make projects to wow your family and friends. In this beginning class, learn how to use a sewing machine, make bobbins, select stitches and more.
Your first project will be a Hot Dog Pillowcase! You’ll learn how to stitch straight seams, zig-zag seams and pivot your seams. The result will be a pillowcase to dream on. Your second project will be a small, stuffed pillow. In addition to being a new challenge, you’ll learn how to sew curved seams, clip curves, stuff the pillow and close the opening.
With these two projects you’ll be ready to take on more advanced projects in our follow-up classes for kids and teens.
