Flat Iron Jacket
In this focused workshop, you will begin the Flatiron Coat or Jacket by The Sewing Workshop, a modern mid-length design featuring soft draped lapels, dropped shoulders, tapered sleeves, side vents, and an asymmetric hem.
This pattern is an ideal match for boiled wool, a luxurious knit fabric that does not fray and requires no lining. Its simple construction makes it perfect for clean overlapping seams and streamlined finishing, allowing you to achieve a polished look without complicated techniques.
During this 5-hour workshop, we will concentrate on fabric handling, boiled wool–specific construction, and smart assembly techniques to set your project up for success. You will leave with your coat or jacket well underway and the confidence to finish it at home.
