Machine Embroidery 101
Have machine embroidery capabilities on your combo sewing machine but have no idea how to use them? Maybe you're scared to try or just haven't had the time. This is your opportunity to see how it works and explore the many facets of machine embroidery. From stitching designs, lettering, monograms, the possibliilites are endless once you know the basics.
This introductory class to machine embroidery, held in three sessions begins with exploring your machine, needles, threads and essentials. We'll practice loading and manipulating designs and the very basics of stabilizer and hooping. We will explore the various uses of machine embroidery, including sample stitch-outs.
Requirements: Embroidery machine should be from 2005 or more recent and in good working order, and USB port or wireless for transfer of designs.
A small kit fee may be added to this class to include stabilizer, designs,stitch out fabric. This would be paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.
Prerequisite: Basic sewing skills, ability to sew a straight line
Classes: 3 classes of 2 hours each
